Opened dome at 18:20 MDT. Clouds allowed us to get flats, but not much else. DIMM could not acquire star due to clouds. I noticed later that the search routine was not working because DIMM could not speak to the telescope. I checked and for some reason the connection was broken. I restarted DIMM software and all was well, except for the clouds. I closed dome due to opaque clouds at 21:40 MDT. We reopened at 23:50 to try and shoot through some cirrus. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: Russet McMillan The clouds thinned just long enough to focus SPIcam and get a few images of a bright target before closing in again. The dome was closed at 00:50 and never re-opened during second half.
