Heavy snow mostly fell during first half. The sky started to clear around midnight, but the humidity remained troublesome. After checking the amount of snow on the roof, I advised the second half observer that I wouldn't be opening regardless of weather. Jeff Morgan took the opportunity to do some checks of repeatability in secondary mirror motion when being homed. All of the checks came out good, with no evidence of steps being missed. We also homed the axial actuators of the tertiary mirror, since it was giving the "not a full step" error on all three axes. After homing, the error message disappeared, although previous experience indicates that it will probably return soon for one axis or another. We have seen this error almost constantly for the last month or so. During the times when we were not actually experimenting with the mirrors, the snow program was kept running, in hopes that the moderate wind would blow some snow from the roof.
