I did manage to confirm that there was no gross coma, at least at NA2, so the effects noted last night were probably a result of high airmass. Observing Specialist, 2nd Shift: Jack Dembicky Clouds kept the telescope closed the 2nd half of the night. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" --------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:49 SPIcam 50(929) -69 34 2.0/2.0 217 13 r' 0.95 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 38 11 10 217 (SW) 338 cloudy none 17:01 37 11 12 207 (SSW) 377 cloudy none 18:01 36 11 13 195 (SSW) 354 cloudy none 19:01 35 12 12 187 (S) 408 cloudy none 20:01 35 15 12 204 (SSW) 662 cloudy none 21:01 36 7 13 217 (SW) 285 cloudy none 22:01 35 14 11 215 (SW) 398 mstly cldy none 23:01 36 14 11 244 (WSW) 430 cloudy none 00:01 36 12 10 264 (W) 290 cloudy none 01:01 34 15 9 205 (SSW) 551 cloudy none 02:01 34 14 13 214 (SW) 440 cloudy none 03:01 34 15 14 218 (SW) 533 cloudy none 04:01 34 16 15 221 (SW) 562 cloudy none 05:01 34 18 16 205 (SSW) 695 cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
