Observing with the Echelle went smoothly in conditions of excellent seeing but variable high clouds. The second-half time originally scheduled for NM05 was given to UW02 by official swap. Observing Specialist, 2nd Shift: Noel Camron Hastings Second half went smoothly. DIS observations went well and no troubles were encountered. Seeing became quite bad as the thick clouds moved in around 01:30 MST. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:00 Echelle -49(-28) -71 62 5.7/7.3 347 6 ND2 0.68" 18:39 Echelle 22(-28) -18 65 5.7/6.3 338 7 ND1 0.74" 00:24 DIS Slit -000(677) -004 70 4.1/4.2 007 9 none 0.89" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 45 13 8 316 (NW) 89 cirrus none 17:01 43 14 9 311 (NW) 130 mstly clr none 18:01 42 15 6 357 (N) 155 mstly clr none 19:01 42 17 13 315 (NW) 190 mstly clr none 20:01 41 20 13 316 (NW) 404 mstly clr none 21:01 41 22 8 327 (NNW) 563 mstly clr none 22:01 40 22 10 302 (WNW) 591 ptly cldy none 23:01 40 22 7 339 (NNW) 556 cirrus none 00:01 40 21 6 349 (NNW) 485 cirrus none 01:01 40 22 12 2 (N) 538 cirrus none 02:01 38 18 14 73 (ENE) 318 cirrus none 03:01 43 5 5 0 (N) 176 cirrus none 04:01 41 7 0 29 (NNE) 187 cirrus none 05:01 43 6 11 308 (NW) 189 cirrus none 06:01 42 2 5 353 (N) 202 cirrus none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
