Weather was beautifully clear and calm. The C-U-See-Me program has been tested to run on our 'Obs 2' Mac again, so Adler Planetarium can again connect to our camera for public demo. The connection from Adler to here has not been tested yet, but software is operational on our end. No problems encountered throughout. Good seeing an photometric skies. Observing Specialist, 2nd Shift: Russet McMillan The dewpoint rose too close to the temperature of the cold telescope, and the dome was closed at 23:45. Increasing clouds and light snow kept us closed for the remainder of the morning. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" --------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:57 Echelle 013(-460) -069 72 -3.0/-1.7 216 08 ND1 0.94" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 32 13 4 247 (WSW) 373 Clear None 17:01 29 14 8 242 (WSW) 340 Clear None 18:01 28 13 7 223 (SW) 392 Clear None 19:01 28 11 9 236 (SW) 434 Clear None 20:01 28 9 11 265 (W) 371 Clear None 21:01 28 14 11 225 (SW) 385 Clear None 22:01 27 19 7 197 (SSW) 429 Clear None 23:01 27 18 11 218 (SW) 484 Cirrus None 00:01 26 22 10 217 (SW) 803 ptly cldy none 01:01 26 22 7 234 (SW) 3007 mstlycldy none 02:01 26 22 7 242 (WSW) 913 mstlycldy none 03:01 26 20 8 238 (WSW) 485 cloudy lt snow 04:01 26 21 10 243 (WSW) 538 cloudy lt snow 05:01 26 21 10 242 (WSW) 503 cloudy lt snow 06:01 24 23 10 222 (SW) 691 cloudy lt snow note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
