Everything ran smoothly with great seeing. The time scheduled for PU04 at the beginning of the night was not usable due to SPIcam being spread across several states; in the absence of instructions from Ed, UC04 was allowed to start early instead. Observing Specialist, 2nd Shift: Russet McMillan Seeing was excellent for the narrowband IR imaging during second half, but a bright moon and gradually increasing clouds made observations futile after 04:30, so we closed a little early. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:50 Echelle 69.5() 17 67 -2.1/-0.9 0 15 nd1 0.95 00:33 AIMS 30(526) 155 72 -1.3/-1.5 259 6 500nm 0.6 02:22 AIMS 50(593) 232 66 -0.9/-0.8 183 4 500 0.6 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 30 2 3 356 (N) 188 Clear none 17:01 30 0 5 299 (WNW) 55 Clear none 18:01 30 1 13 359 (N) 71 Clear none 19:01 31 5 9 0 (N) 159 Clear none 20:01 31 5 9 6 (N) 155 Clear none 21:01 30 6 5 28 (NNE) 210 Clear none 22:01 31 5 6 340 (NNW) 195 Clear none 23:01 32 6 7 314 (NW) 122 Clear none 00:01 32 7 3 266 (W) 184 clear none 01:01 31 8 1 212 (SSW) 179 clear none 02:01 32 6 9 197 (SSW) 140 clear none 03:01 32 3 5 186 (S) 93 cirrus none 04:01 31 3 3 185 (S) 86 cirrus none 05:01 29 3 12 159 (SSE) 87 ptly cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
