I opened the dome at 16:50 MST to allow for cooling and sky flats. This was mostly practice time for our UM trainee. The clouds continued to approach and we closed at 18:52 MST. Afterwards, I was inspecting DIS and found the fill tube flange was leaking, likely explaining where our missing lN2 has gone over the last few days. PR submitted. I continued to work on plotting for the annual report and HTML Manual documents. Some of the instrument fill sections and Echelle docs have been updated. Observing Specialist, 2nd Shift: Russet McMillan It remained cloudy and windy during second half, except for a sucker hole lasting all of ten minutes around 02:30. We opened for a short while but were never even able to focus before closing due to more clouds and high winds, so I left the time under the Weather column. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 35 27 17 220 (SW) 560 mstly cldy none 17:01 33 27 16 201 (SSW) 788 mstly cldy none 18:01 34 26 17 185 (S) 552 mstly cldy none 19:01 35 25 21 182 (S) 556 cloudy none 20:01 35 25 23 195 (SSW) 508 cloudy none 21:01 34 27 24 198 (SSW) 372 cloudy none 22:01 34 27 22 209 (SSW) 329 cloudy none 23:01 33 25 22 235 (SW) 296 cloudy none 00:01 31 23 22 217 (SW) 292 cloudy none 01:01 30 23 16 260 (W) 281 cloudy none 02:01 29 24 25 248 (WSW) 303 mstly cldy none 03:01 29 24 21 241 (WSW) 319 cloudy none 04:01 28 25 26 247 (WSW) 298 cloudy none 05:01 27 26 34 250 (WSW) 299 cloudy fog note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
