During checkout, I discovered a problem with SPIcam which could not be solved by the beginning of observations. As an alternative, Ed Turner decided to try using the guider, since he was more interested in good image resolution than in perfect photometry. Observing Specialist, 2nd Shift: Camron Hastings Second half started without any difficulty. Skies cleared for a while and the GFP ran smoothly. Nothing else of note, successful night. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:00 NA2gdr 0 80 62 5.4/7.8 318 8 R 1.14 20:28 GFP 0(1042) 142 63 5.3/5.9 330 10 4300 0.72 23:02 GFP 125(1150) 125 50 5.5/4.6 247 1 4300 0.90 01:18 GFP 50(1041) 189 65 5.0/4.8 122 6 4300 0.90 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 49 33 11 301 (WNW) 396 cirrus none 17:01 45 29 2 302 (WNW) 439 cirrus none 18:01 42 25 6 6 (N) 467 cirrus none 19:01 42 20 4 307 (NW) 402 cirrus none 20:01 41 25 6 355 (N) 496 cirrus none 21:01 40 27 7 315 (NW) 497 cirrus none 22:01 41 28 4 297 (WNW) 535 cirrus none 23:01 42 25 0 244 (WSW) 532 cirrus none 00:01 43 25 0 172 (S) 528 cirrus none 01:01 41 25 0 216 (SW) 478 cirrus none 02:01 41 25 4 145 (SE) 530 ptly cldy none 03:01 41 22 5 179 (S) 422 clear none 04:01 40 22 9 176 (S) 462 clear none 05:01 41 19 8 167 (SSE) 417 ptly cldy none 06:01 40 21 15 164 (SSE) 381 ptly cldy none 07:01 42 9 12 179 (S) 178 ptly cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
