We opened at 19:40 when the clouds cleared up, in spite of the borderline humid conditions. However, the GFP had a shutter problem, so we closed after 15 minutes since there was no point in cooling the telescope down under those conditions. Later, the humidity dropped and the clouds cleared a bit, and the shutter appeared to be working, so we opened at 20:45 to get some science done. We had quite good seeing for a while, but fast-moving clouds did make it difficult to time the data-taking. Observing Specialist, 2nd Shift: Camron Hastings Clouds kept us from observing when I came on shift, but weather conditions allowed us to remain open until about 03:00 when I closed due to climbing humidity. We stayed around until sunrise to get some sky flats, but humidity kept us closed. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:48 gfp 0(990) 157 69 3.4/4.9 266 9 4320 0.98 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 47 36 13 250 (WSW) 371 ptly cldy none 17:01 41 34 13 206 (SSW) 501 ptly cldy none 18:01 41 33 17 232 (SW) 632 ptly cldy none 19:01 39 34 9 265 (W) 537 ptly cldy none 20:01 38 34 9 272 (W) 631 mstly clr none 21:01 38 32 11 246 (WSW) 590 ptly cldy none 22:01 40 28 8 261 (W) 541 mstly clr none 23:01 40 28 10 256 (WSW) 577 ptly cldy none 00:01 41 30 11 258 (WSW) 521 ptly cldy none 01:01 41 31 9 264 (W) 451 cloudy none 02:01 41 32 8 267 (W) 464 cloudy none 03:01 40 33 8 262 (W) 543 cloudy none 04:01 39 33 7 273 (W) 566 cloudy none 05:01 38 31 7 285 (WNW) 622 cloudy none 06:01 38 33 10 292 (WNW) 622 cloudy none 07:01 37 35 13 306 (NW) 663 ptly cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
