Camron Hastings & Jack Dembicky Arrived on site early to repair a few problems that occurred during the previous night and the current day. Eddie Bergeron mentioned an air leak near one of the TR ports last night. I found a broken air line near an eyelid pneumatic piston which I repaired. In addition, the Fabry-Perot team used a heat gun during the day, but use of the gun somehow caused a UPS power failure. I switched the heat gun to line power rather than UPS power and then tried to track down the UPS failure. In the end, I switched UPS power to the spare UPS and that seemed return functionality to all necessary power points. Problem reports submitted. Did not open due to rain/hail/fog etc..... Worked on training the new observer, Jack, as much as was possible without any stars to look at. Had network problems starting around 21:00 MDT. Craig was notified and is looking into it. Observing Specialist, 2nd Shift: Eddie Bergeron Continued fog and drizzle all evening. Did not open. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 8 245 (WSW) 47 cloudy rain 17:01 38 37 6 263 (W) 179 cloudy rain/hail 18:01 39 36 5 268 (W) 147 cloudy rain/ice 19:01 39 36 8 268 (W) 223 cloudy rain 20:01 38 37 7 214 (SW) 268 cloudy mist 21:01 38 38 8 216 (SW) 346 cloudy none 22:01 38 39 11 221 (SW) 49 fog none 23:01 39 39 8 186 (S) 134 fog none 00:01 37 37 10 243 (WSW) 212 fog drizzle 01:01 37 37 11 200 (SSW) 207 fog none 02:01 38 38 17 202 (SSW) 76 fog drizzle 03:01 38 39 16 195 (SSW) 262 fog drizzle 04:01 38 38 9 188 (S) 177 fog none 05:01 37 37 11 187 (S) 423 cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
