Just finished focusing then had to close due to high humidity. An hour later it had dropped below the limit and the sky was clear until 23:00, when clouds started moving in. Don was able to continue getting enough signal through the clouds until 01:45 when it became to thick to bother. Humidity was hovering just below the closure limit at that point anyways, and stayed there the rest of the night. Had an MC crash at 23:30. A restart took care of it and we continued. Spent the rest of the evening taking 30-min quartz specflats with the echelle and a few more Th-Ars. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:05 EchelleSV +025(38) 189 52 6.2/8.4 174 7 clear 1.2" 19:15 EchelleSV +009(38) 193 52 5.9/8.1 133 11 clear 1.1" 20:40 EchelleSV -043(-160) 335 76 4.9/6.9 118 2 ND1 1.6" 22:05 EchelleSV +055(-45) 198 52 4.4/5.8 54 5 ND1 1.3" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:01 48 36 3 232 (SW) 305 mostly cldy none 18:01 49 38 7 236 (SW) 326 mostly cldy none 19:01 43 38 7 174 (S) 415 partly cldy none 20:01 41 38 2 92 (E) 553 clear none 21:01 42 37 2 97 (E) 530 clear none 22:01 41 33 8 51 (NE) 388 clear none 23:01 42 33 1 80 (E) 444 partly cldy none 00:01 43 35 1 242 (WSW) 440 partly cldy none 01:01 41 34 4 183 (S) 454 overcast none 02:01 43 37 1 268 (W) 540 overcast none 03:01 42 37 4 205 (SSW) 541 overcast none 04:01 42 37 4 211 (SSW) 521 overcast none 05:01 41 37 3 205 (SSW) 550 overcast none 06:01 41 37 0 186 (S) 587 overcast none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
