No troubles encountered, our visiting astronomer tried through much of the first half to poke GRIM through the holes with little luck. Remained open, but not imaging due to weather. Observing Specialist, 2nd shift: Russet McMillan The dome was closed due to thickening clouds at 00:20, and a storm system moved in. If we're going to get nothing due to clouds, we might as well have rain, lightning, high winds and high humidity, right? --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:40 GrIm f/5 -050(1015) 193 51 8.4/9.2 239 09 J 0.75" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 51 31 4 271 (W) 164 ptly cldy none 17:01 52 31 12 269 (W) 135 ptly cldy none 18:01 50 31 9 261 (W) 149 ptly cldy none 19:01 47 31 9 245 (WSW) 170 ptly cldy none 20:01 47 29 7 261 (W) 179 ptly cldy none 21:01 47 31 7 196 (SSW) 217 ptly cldy none 22:01 49 32 7 237 (WSW) 188 cloudy none 23:01 49 27 6 223 (SW) 119 cloudy none 00:01 48 28 6 182 (S) 111 cloudy none 01:01 47 34 7 228 (SW) 139 cloudy none 02:01 48 36 7 221 (SW) 148 cloudy rain 03:01 40 38 8 242 (WSW) 104 cloudy rain 04:01 40 37 6 70 (ENE) 158 cloudy rain 05:01 38 37 20 151 (SSE) 84 cloudy none 06:01 42 36 2 243 (WSW) 77 cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
