I observed for PU05, with SPIcam. The telescope was facing into a gusty wind, so the there was some windshake visible in a lot of the images. Paula Szkody observed with DIS for UW02. I noticed her object would occsionally jump about an arcsec in azimuth, then would settle back to its original position after several seconds. 2nd half observing specialist: McMillan Second half was clear with moderate seeing (generally better than the focus stats indicate, although it was hard to tell since we were observing galaxies). Our targets were in the south, away from the wind, and telescope tracking was noticeably improved compared to previous nights. It seems evident that the telescope is more sensitive now to winds in the range 20-30 mph, possibly due to the new top end. * For the third time this week, we had trouble with the medium gratings not going where they were commanded. They had to be homed twice (after being homed multiple times during the afternoon and evening) before they started to behave. OBSERVER COMMENTS P. Szkody (UW02): I obtained a great set of data simultaneous with FUSE and EUVE tonight.
