When I rotated the tertiary over from NA1 to NA2 we had a pretty sever pointing error. It turned out that the tip/tilt values were incorrect because the 'collimate' process was not running. Once I restarted it the correct values were in place and we pointed to within 6 arcsecs of perfect. After a pointing correction all was well. I switched to the echelle at 00:55 and the switch went smoothly. Seeing was really very bad. Pointing looked to be close, to within about 5 arcsecs. Things ran smoothly... When I tried to find the new guider commands documented on the web I could not. I looked under the 'TCC' and under the 'Guider' sections. There has been significant change in these systems and if at all possible it would be good to thoroughly check the documentation to make sure it is all correct still. DIMM was running tonight with a second DIMM unit on the Sloan pier for comparison and they correlate wonderfully. Armin has the new 'auto-search' routine up and running which makes start-up even quicker. The MC crashed, or maybe the TCC, I am not sure, at 04:10 and we gave up for the night. Don said that he had a very productive echelle night though!
