The observers were all very patient. 2nd half observing specialist: Russet McMillan Dust levels dropped very slowly during second half, and the telescope was opened just after 03:00. The telescope was exposed for a few hours to dust levels between 2000 and 3000. The DIS focus was unexpectedly low (reaching -600 during focus changes on the fly), but eventually climbed as the telescope temperature stabilized. Seeing measurements from the guider ranged from 1.2 to greater than 2 arcseconds. OBSERVER COMMENTS N.Miller (NM03): Smooth evening of observing, once the particulates settled down and we opened. The telescope pointing was accurate and consistent, and there were no problems with tracking even with sources near transit. Thanks to Russet for helping make the most of the time not claimed by weather!
