We had another tremendous dust storm this afternoon, extending into the evening. In addition to the dust, it was cloudy with occasional showers of mud raining down from the sky. I was the observer for UW02 and Tom Williams was on site to observe for NM06. Jon Brinkman and I worked on the DIS problem mentioned in last night's log. It appears to be a possible scattered light problem that only manifests itself when the instrument is not on the telescope. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: N.C.Hastings We were closed during second half due to dust and wind.
