We had planned to do engineering work with the Amber camera. 2nd half observing specialist: Russet McMillan The dust counts dropped somewhat during second half, and we opened from 01:30 to 04:15. During this time the telescope was exposed to moderate dust levels, so it should probably be CO2-cleaned. The open time was long enough for Russ Owen to try out his new pointing model software, find some bugs, and fix them. After that, we ran a full pointing model. There was some trouble at the beginning due to a rapidly-changing focus, and several points had to be deleted, but eventually we got a model with RMS less than 4 arcseconds. When this model was output, it somehow overwrote the previous model without changing the date on the file. So the new model is in tdat:telmod_na2.dat;91 -- the same version number as the previous model. I managed to save a copy of the earlier (990223) model into version 90.
