The telescope was opened at 20:00 MDT with Gordon Richards observing for UC03. No problems to report; the telescope behaved well, with good pointing and tracking. The astigmatism reported earlier is still there. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: N.C.Hastings Second half started smoothly with a focus frame. No problems throughout the night, except the moon and cirrus! --------- Observer Comments ---------- UC03/04 (Richards): The first half of the night went reasonably well as Heidi, Brian and I got a few nice spectra of supernovae for UC03. We did have some problems transferring the images as we could neither use the FTP login script, nor could we FTP _from_ tycho. The second half of the night was a bit more disorganized (specifically, _I_ was a bit more disorganized), but nevertheless Ryan Scranton and I were able to get a few spectra for UC04.
