Bernadette Rodgers observed for UW03, with almost no trouble. *At the end of her run, the DIS PC got a bit confused, causing her to loose her last exposures. I submitted the details in a problem report. The PU04 run went relatively smoothly. I was the observer for that program. The Moon was about 5 degrees from the target object, which meant the exposures had to be kept shorter than 60 seconds. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: N.C.Hastings I took over second half with clear skies and no problems. Engineering with went well this evening, no problems with telescope. ------------- Observer's Comments ------------- UW03 (Rodgers): "A very productive run tonight. Pointing was excellent and Karen's support with slit acquisition was impressively efficient. DIS worked well until the end; the last two images were lost when DIS returned a blank image and then refused to take a new one, stopping at 'Expose Command Sent' (which was a lie). Also, my local DIS windows, particularly the configuration window, displayed incorrect status several times. This didn't seem to hurt anything. At one point the command control status indicated image was reading out (which it was) but the exposure counter was still updating. Never seen that before. Is it just my impression or does DIS seem to be getting "confused" more frequently lately?"
