Earlier in the day we had snow/sleet/hail/rain but it all cleared up and melted off suddenly. I checked the enclosure roof and it was dry by 4pm. I opened the enclosure at 17:45 to begin cooling. During the first program which I was observing for I saw the scattered light in I band again. You can see it at: /export/images/lowz_sn/990327/1999aa.0004.fits and others later on... This is a recurrent problem that I cannot seem to track down. The telescope was pointing at Az=152 El=77.5 Rot=-178. Other than that, all went well, high dust. Would be a good idea to CO2 clean when possible. Exposed to levels around 2200 most the first half. Telescope pointing was exceptional. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: Russet McMillan Second half was clear and productive. No problems to report with GRIM or the echelle.
