The snow program was running all day and the altitude motor was disabled allowing the telescope to remain tied down. Due to the dangerous road conditions Karen did not come in and the telescope was parked at the end of my shift for the night. I filled the instruments before leaving and Karen said that she would be in early the next day, around 12pm, to make the next fills. If she is unable to come up on Thursday could someone please take care of this, I will be in Seattle. Thanks. To help utilize some of this down time, Connie Rockosi worked on the echelle a bit for Shu-i. They got a few hours of useful test exposures. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: --- None --- FOCUS LOG March 17th 1999 Best Telescope Temp Wind Seeing Time Instrmnt Focus Az El Air/Truss Dir MPH filter FWHM" --------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------- NO FOCUS DATA THIS EVENING --------- WEATHER LOG March 17th 1999 Wind Time Temp-F Dewp-F MPH Direction Dust Sky Precip ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 22 21 11 181 (S) 257 Cloudy Snow 17:01 23 21 9 170 (S) 208 Cloudy Snow 18:01 24 23 0 197 (SSW) 212 Cloudy Snow 19:01 24 21 16 73 (ENE) 218 Cloudy Snow 20:01 25 25 19 56 (NE) 60 Ptly Cldy None 21:01 25 24 17 73 (ENE) 62 Cloudy Snow 22:01 25 24 23 66 (ENE) 22 Cloudy Snow 23:01 24 23 17 79 (ENE) 32 Cloudy Snow note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
