Opening was delayed by clouds and dust. We had two very abrupt dust events during the evening. UW08 and UC07 swapped their time slots to eliminate one tertiary mirror rotation. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: N.C.Hastings Second half started without event. The cloud scanner became stuck in its northern most position at 01:00. The echelle pointing was again off at first. I saw the exact same error last run, but a pointing correction fixed it. It took a few tries as the star was right on the edge of the field. Perhaps we can have some of the engineering time to work on this. At 02:20 MST Chris Mallouris' Mac crashed. He is using 2.54b4 and was exposing with the slit camera when it happened.
