The telescope pointing requires a 20 - 40 arcsec local correction after large slews. So, the pointing model is not so hot right now. We had pretty good seeing, 1.1 arcsec most of the evening, and the observing went very smoothly. No problems of note, although Gordon had one image come up with the incorrect exposure time in the header. He has emailed Craig the details. 2nd half observing specialist: Russet McMillan Second half was clear, and for the most part everything went smoothly. Like Karen, I noticed that the pointing was pretty poor. We had some trouble with the slit camera, which bombed out several times with the message "Error= TIME OUT, Command = Get Activity Status." This happened four times in the space of an hour starting at 01:45, then cleared up by itself. OBSERVER COMMENTS G. Richards (UC01): Quite productive. Almost 25000 seconds of integration time on target objects. However, the network was about as bad as I have seen it in years. At the beginning of the night it was taking 11 minutes to transfer 2MB.
