Opening was delayed by clouds. The first two programs (UC08 - Adler and UW02 - Stubbs) were clouded out. Jeff Brown got 2 hours on the sky, but he had a crowded field and we had great difficulty identifying it. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: N.C.Hastings We had slow network troubles with Princeton early on, but they cleared themselves up soon and things went fine for the rest of the evening. We did have a crash of the Obs1 Mac at around 00:45 MST, most likely due to REMARK. I was closing the 'config' window on DIS and suddenly the 'debug' display appeared and the Mac stopped. I rebooted all systems and things were smooth for the rest of the evening. I started the seeing monitor at 23:30 when the skies cleared. It had one 'Error #103' failure, but after that things were smooth. The only issue was that the 'ding' when you find the star in the CCD frame during the 'search' mode was not heard. Also, the web interfaces do not seem to be plotting any of the data, although it is being logged. I see that the guider display is also suffering similar problems, but it looks as if Eric Deutsch is working on it, so I assume it is in transition.
