Connie had closed up many of the light leaks in the echelle and as we tried bias images during twilight we ran into many crashing problems with the two new versions of REMARK. The first version, 2.53, crashed twice, and 2.54b1 crashed once. Craig looked at the results and we ended up running 2.52 for the evening. Early on we had image troubles with the echelle images. The resulting images looked quite incorrect, with lines mismatching and the general image size was found to be incorrect. It appears that the 'lines' and the 'columns' were being mixed up by the new ICC software. We reverted to 'com33.remote' and it seemed to cure our problems. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Second half was increasingly cloudy. We closed at 03:45 due to clouds, then re-opened at 05:00 to take some sodium-line spectra of clouds over Holloman/Alamogordo.
