Doug Duncan (UC) was on site for Echelle commissioning. He has been taking spectra of radial velocity standards, and so far everything has gone quite smoothly. Eric Deutsch logged in and modified his guider monitor to show Echelle slit camera images at the correct aspect ratio. Very nice. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: N.C.Hastings All ran smoothly. :) FOCUS LOG February 1st 1999 Best Telescope Temp Wind Seeing Time Instrmnt Focus Az El Air/Truss Dir MPH filter FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:00 Echelle -0940(5147) 182 56 +0.4/+1.2 339 8 ND2 1.1" WEATHER LOG February 1st 1999 Wind Time Temp-F Dewp-F MPH Direction Dust Sky Precip ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 38 9 16 295 (WNW) clear none 17:01 34 7 13 319 (NW) clear none 18:01 34 0 13 336 (NNW) clear none 19:01 33 -5 12 315 (NW) clear none 20:01 33 0 12 339 (NNW) clear none 21:01 33 0 14 4 (N) clear none 22:01 31 -1 9 26 (NNE) clear none 23:01 31 -2 6 350 (N) clear none 00:01 30 -1 7 345 (NNW) clear none 01:01 32 -4 8 318 (NW) clear none 02:01 31 -4 6 347 (NNW) clear none 03:01 31 -4 11 324 (NW) clear none 04:01 31 -4 4 262 (W) clear none 05:01 31 -3 1 246 (WSW) clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
