The telescope was opened at 17:00 MST, and closed at 17:15 due to threatening clouds. The sky cleared, but then snowflakes started falling out of a clear sky. This lasted for over an hour. Although there weren't many, I couldn't open until they stopped. The telescope was reopened at 19:05 MST. Louisa Rebull observed for UC01 with the Echelle. 2nd half observing specialist: McMillan Second half was clear and cold, with the humidity high enough to frost the cloud camera but not so high as to endanger the telescope. The echelle was in use and behaved well, although there was a systematic guiding effect most noticeable when the telescope was near the meridian. It may be necessary to work some more on the tertiary tip/tilts for the echelle to improve guiding. Spicam was used once more for field identification, which worked very well. * Late in the morning, one of the enclosure motors began to make a strange noise while tracking, which became a nasty-sounding rattle during a slew. Fortunately, that slew was to the last object of the night; we continued observing since the enclosure was tracking well, but this noise should be tracked down immediately.
