It was closed at 21:40, due to clouds. We had cirrus at sunset, followed by a period of mostly clear sky before it clouded over. I observed for PU02. Doug Duncan and Luisa Rebull observed for UC01. *Some of my SPIcam images were teardrop shaped. The details are in my problem report. The cause isn't yet known, but will be investigated. Another hotspot leftover from the Forest Service controlled burn flared up. Sunspot Fire Dept. personnel responded. 2nd half observing specialist: McMillan The sky was mostly cloudy to overcast as the morning began, with a bit of snow (just a few flakes) around midnight. The clouds thinned and the sky cleared very rapidly around 04:00, and we were able to open and get some useful data. Guiding with the echelle was rather poor, but this may have been because the target coordinates were rough and we had to make a large initial offset. If the click-to-center interface used object offsets instead of boresight (instrument) offsets, this would not be a problem.
