The telescope was opened at 18:00 MDT. The sky was mostly clear but there was a stiff breeze out of the east. This probably caused the poor seeing. The observers were Sarah Maddison, Kerry Forsythe, Denise Stephens and Mark Marley for NM07, and myself for PU01 and EN01. There were no problems with telescope or instrumentation, other than occasional sudden, temporary focus changes observed with grim2. The rotator performed very well. I didn't spot any runaways or over slews. I watched the rotator and guider cable from the observing level for a while. The bolts and washers cable guide appears to work just fine. (* means a trouble report has been issued or appended to) OBSERVER COMMENTS NM07 (Marley): Everything worked, clear sky, seeing wasn't great...veteran operator [Dan] came in after almost a year away from the telescope and was great. PU01 (Gloria): No problems, other than poor seeing. EN01 (Gloria): I ran a 120 point pointing model. Guider and telescope performed well. Initial analysis shows a little slop in altitude and small systematic error in azimuth. Must discuss with those more familiar with t-point.
