Eric Bell began observing with GRIM2 at 19:30. COMMENTS: Apart from a most strange GRIM crash (it slowed down gradually and stopped!), tonight was very good. The sky brightness is similar to last nights, at about 8K counts per 5 second exposure in K'. I lost around an hour of time with the GRIM crash. The average seeing was around 1.5 arcsec and variable... Thanks for your help getting GRIM re-started... Eric :) I rebooted the GRIM MAC and Grim worked fine. I spent about 30 minutes testing the rotator from the observing level to make sure it would not catch on DIS (the cable). After confirming that it would work, I observed for the Lens Monitoring, both 2237 and 0142. I observed for quite some time, since we have not been able to get any data for this program lately. I then began testing the GUIDER. All commands seem to work and I was able to focus and guide. I let the it guide for about 20 minutes to be sure there were no problems. I will be able to do a pointing model Monday night as we have open time, and now I am sure everything is in working order. No other problems to report. Forecast:(4:30am) .TODAY...FAIR THIS MORNING. PARTLY CLOUDY IN THE AFTERNOON WITH ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. .TONIGHT AND TUESDAY...FAIR TO PARTLY CLOUDY.
