No other comments to mention. 2nd half observing specialist: Camron Hastings I took over with skies clouding over and a storm cell with 40k echo tops moving in from El Paso. The UW gamma ray burst program was pretty much foiled after Conditions continued to degrade and at 01:32 I decided to close until improvement appeared. Holes started to develop in the cloud cover around 05:00MDT, and we decided to open at 05:20MDT, just 14 minutes before twilight, but JHU said they could shoot into the twilight, so we opened. They got one focus frame off, and the first image frame they took showed that the telescope was not tracking. I checked and it wasn't tracking, but it was too bright to try and test it at this point. We closed at 06:00MDT. Nothing else to report. -------- OBSERVER COMMENTS ------- Alan Diercks & Chris Stubbs (DD01): We fought clouds after opening, but were able to carry out a secondary program. Pointing appears to be off by about 1.2 arcmins. The net was also very slow. Jerry Kriss & Zlatan Tsvetanov (JH04): No comments sent by mail time.
