All of tonight was given to engineering. I tried to run the CLOUD CAM tonight, the checkcam command gave me no error message but the startscan would not start the scanning process. I cycled the power and reset it, but it was not scanning. The image never updated nor did it state that it was running. I spent about 2.5 hours at the beginning of the evening trying to reduce the lamp data, and after trying every direction I could find listed, I called Craig. He and Karen looked over the updated IRAF, and found a bug, which they tried to fix. I began the reduction process again, and got hung up again. (got about half way and by that time it was too late to call Craig) Monday, I will go over the steps I took and where I had problems. I began setting up all information to proceed with an instrument block for the GUIDER, but extremely thick clouds persisted for the evening. Also, I found a bug in the new REMARK. After selecting an instrument and choosing 60 seconds for the dial-a-time, a message stating that the "highlighted area was incorrect and needed to be editted" popped up. I did not realize that it would not allow the 60 seconds, and I did not change it. The message came back and as I went to change the time, the message would not cease beeping and would not allow me to edit the problem. As a matter of fact, it would not let me proceed with any thing else on the screen. I had to restart the MAC to fix the problem.
