I began taking skyflats for Lens Monitoring, but the sky became overcast, and I had to close at 21:20. Lens Monitoring was shut out by clouds. Asantha Cooray was available for UC06 observing with GRIM2. (this was a trade with Beck-Winchatz due to Spicam shutter problems) I reopened at 22:50, and we tried to get on the sky. Asantha had quite a bit of trouble gettting any reasonably good data due to the constant cloud cover, and he gave up at 00:15 and gave the rest of the time to Bernadette Rodgers. Bernadette attempted to obtain data through the murky skies, but gave up at 01:10. We waited until 2:30 to reopen, and once again, proceeded with observing. Comments:Ended up with some success tonight, despite very cloudy skies. Through the breaks in the clouds, I was able to get spectra on about 5 stars. No problems to report with GRIM or the telescope. Although I was unable to guide due to the heavy cloud cover, my targets appeared to stay on the slit reasonably well for the ~6 minutes elapsed time of the exposures, with the exception of one target which was very close to zenith. WSMR took over at 04:45, for the balloon track testing.
