Peter Doherty worked on SPICAM for the first half of the evening. The sky was overcast until 23:00. Comments: Tonight SPIcam repair and evaluation continued. The new shutter installation was completed and tests were conducted to evaulate its performance. This consisted primarily of collecting flat field data in the dome. In addition, new camera firmware was installed and initial tests were performed to verify the operation of several enhancements that have been made. These include faster CCD clearing, improved drift-scanning, and adjustable pixel readout rate. I began the GUIDER tests at 02:45. I used the Script to focus the GUIDER, and then guided for 10 minutes. I then began a pointing model. I did a 40 point pointing model. The coeff. that changed the most was in zenith distance proportional to zenith (PZZ1). The new pointing model has been implemented. I then tested the guider, and it guided without a problem.
