The observers were ALan Diercks for UW01 and Ed Turner with Yashushi Suto, Toru Yamada, and Ichi Tanaka for PU03. SPIcam was cooled down during the day. I checked it's vacuum a couple times during the cool down. It appears to holding its vacuum and there doesn't appear to be any damage to the coating on the chip. I rezeroed the rotator in the afternoon, it needed a 0.205 degree correction. That's fairly sizable. Alan took new instrument block data for SPIcam. This is logged as engineering drop-in time. I had some trouble getting the rotation data to fit properly. I've sent this to Russ Owen. Along the same line, I had to change the instrument orientation in SPIcam's instrument block by 180 degrees (from where it's been since last October) in order to make drift-scanning work with the SPIcam drift-scanning software (note also sent to Russ Owen). Sorting this out cost PU03 some time. OBSERVER COMMENTS Alan (UW01) - "Everything went smoothly. Seeing started out rather poor but improved."
