We used the engineering time to work on the echelle instrument block. First we had to determine a pointing model for NA1 in order to correct some large pointing and tracking errors. In the process, we fixed a problem with running pointing corrections at NA1 (due to some missing information in the NA1 data file), ran the NA2 guider focusing script on the echelle guider (with a couple minor changes), and successfully ran a pointing model script. This pointing model tested well on the sky. Additionally, local pointing corrections now put the star on the pinhole. We did a first iteration on the position of the chip with respect to the boresite, and we think the chip center is now much closer to the boresite, but the test was inconclusive. We need to do another pointing model, because changing the position of the chip with respect to the boresite also changed the pointing by that amount. (NCH) I could not run a new pointing model as the boresite data took a very large amount of time waiting for the field rotation. In addition, the seeing was consistently around 9.0" in the pinhole viewer images as the weather changed dramatically around 2am. I finished the night taking boresite data and then closed up early. The humidity had risen sharply and no usable data could be taken after this time anyway. I replaced the cover on the Echelle and left the tertiary mirror directed at the NA1 port.
