We had cirrus clouds and 20 - 30 mph SW wind all evening. The wind made it somewhat difficult to observe objects in the southwest. Windshake was evident in guide camera images taken facing directly into the wind. 2nd half observing specialist: Russet McMillan The clouds cleared off shortly after 01:00 (we had the only patch of clear skies in the southwest), but the wind kept flirting with the limit. At 03:40 I closed due to high wind gusts. I re-opened at 05:15 after the wind gusts had remained below the limit for nearly 45 minutes. *When I re-opened, the telescope started moving as soon as I unpushed the last stop button. Wasn't this supposed to have been fixed? We had another local/global network freeze-up at 01:20, lasting for several minutes. Remark froze, my window to galileo hung up, etc. After two or three minutes, everything recovered, and no observing time was lost. This time, unlike last night, it was not necessary to restart Remark.
