The sky was clear, and we had sub-arcsecond seeing for a couple hours early in the evening. Otherwise, seeing was averaging about 1.2 arcsec. The first half of the night was fairly uneventful. I saw no evidence of PMSS hiccups. I had to refill the DIS transfer dewar at 22:30. This cost Paula 0.2 hour of observing time. 2nd half Observing Specialist: Camron Hastings I came on right in time for a 21st mag object! The seeing began to deteriorate quickly, but by 4 am it had returned to about 1.2". The Obs 1 Mac had display problems, it was corrupted and blank in areas, so I had to reboot it at 01:30 MST. REMARK was losing messages typed into the message window also. Both Paula and I lost messages randomly, but then it seemed to clear up after 15 minutes or so. All else ran well for the evening. ------------ Observer Comments ------------ UW01 (P.Szkody): A very long and productive night enabled me to get 4 hours simultaneous with an X-ray satellite, objects for EUV and HST programs as well as orbital coverage of a new magnetic system. The help of Karen and Camron with quick setup off the slit viewer made it possible. Camron earned his keep in the setup of a 21st mag object to get a faint spectrum. This will keep me busy for a while.
