Tonight the telescope was not ready for normal on sky observing. The rotator has not been completely reassembled yet. It was put back together enough to allow an eyepiece to be mounted. Thus most of the night was spent tracking on various objects and checking for any sudden jumps in axis motion during tracking. None were observed. Among the objects observed were Jupiter and Saturn, which were stunning. Also impressive were M15 and the Saturn Nebula ( planetary nebula ). OBSERVER COMMENTS "Wow", "Cool", and "Beautiful" were heard several times during observing tonight.
