The seeing was also very good, sub-arcsec for the most of the night, but degrading somewhat towards the last quarter. Bernadette Rodgers observed with DIS. We were impacted slightly by an apparent error in the rotator zero position, but that should be corrected easily tomorrow before observing (effected our ability to offset east-west on the slit). Otherwise, a good run. Brad Holden observed with DIS in imaging and spectral mode. Again, a very good run with good seeing. Tests were made with Jeff Morgan's guide camera focus routine. This is a TCL script that will provide a correct focus, automatically, for the guider by running a user specified focus sweep. It is currently operational, but is still under evaluation. OBSERVER COMMENTS: Bernadette Rodgers No problems to report. Everything went smoothly and Karen/Charles were efficient as always with the slit viewer. thanks! Brad Holden It is really great to see the telescope performing so well and that all of the work is paying off. We can take advantage of the seeing the site provides.
