The sky was clear but the seeing was below average for most of the night. The observers were Bernadette Rodgers for UW03 and UW11, and Connie Rockosi for UC01. The TCC had some communications hiccups with the axes during Connie's run. These were all very brief. The net was very slow, which is frustrating. My ftp transfers hung several times, particularly in the first part of the evening, presumably due to net troubles. This was also a problem using the Web page to turn on/off lamps, since it updated slowly and often gave an error that the reply/action was lost so I had to hit the button again. No problems with DIS, and thanks to Karen for lots of slit viewer help. During the GRIM run, the focus seemed to be changing on me, and the tracking, although not terrible, was not great- I'd offset and offset back and end up at not quite the same place (a few pixels off roughly). This (the tracking) seemed to get better later in the run." Connie (UC01): "The sky was very clear and dry all night. My time was very productive and the data appears to be very good. The new SPIcam driftscanning code is very pleasant to use; I appreciate the upgrade. The only problem to report is minor. The alt axis stopped tracking during slews approx. 5 times during the night. Karen was always able to fix it immediately, and I didn't lose any time or data to the problem."
