Tia Hoyes assisted with observations the first half of the night. In my opinion, based on the work that was completed over night, the telescope can be used for science observations. An engineering report has been distributed to site staff. Others wishing a copy can obtain one from me. Briefly, here are the tasks and tests that were done: collimation - adjusted; good on axis; off axis (guide camera) shows elongation in out of focus images calibration lamps - tested new lamp control. Contact the site for information on how to access lamp control. guide camera - new instrument block; tested guiding loop on 12.8 mag star in twilight (works well). pointing - new pointing model; ran blind pointing test average pointing error was 6.2 arcsec, max was 15.2 arcsec, min was 0.4 arcsec. tracking - one tracking test, 300 second exp at altitude of 75 degrees. No detectable trailing, fwhm was 1.6 arcsec.
