Xiaohui Fan and Mike Strauss waited to observe for the first half of the evening, and when we were finally able to open, we had an axis communication problem with the TCC. We would send a slew command, and REMARK would not state that the slew was complete. I tried to turn the motors off and reinitialize, and also restart the MC. The REMARK display showed the coordinates, but they kept blinking. After speaking to Karen, at 2:45, she explained that the TCC needed to be rebooted, and she gave me instructions on how to complete this. After rebooting the TCC, Nichole King was able to get a slit spectra. We then had to close due to increasing humidity and the levels of dust going over the limit. I closed at 4:00 as I did not want the dust to adhere itself to the mirror with the increasing humidity. Mike Strauss would like to have it mentioned that the 1.6 arcsec slit he was intending on using seems to have some scratches on it.
