Overcast skies prevented us from opening right away. The dome was opened at 22:20 with cirrus covering most of the sky, but no threat to the telescope. Seeing was good, ~1arc-sec. Eric Bell's targets were too faint for the conditions, but the limited open time was used for general re-familiarization of the telescope and instrument. Conditions soon warrented closing again and the dome was closed at 23:20. The dome was reopened at 00:45, but the sky was still uniformly covered with cirrus, 2 orders of mag extinction. The azimuth axis had several `overshoots'. These occured while issuing slew via remark or with the TCC track command. Impact on observing was minimal, but the frequency at which these occure is alarming.
