Chris Stubbs was the observer for UW12, and Gene Magnier observed for UW05. Both programs went well. I had to correct the altitude axis pointing a few times. This didn't amount to much loss of observing time. *The instrument rotator had trouble turning during afternoon checkout. Jon Davis took a look at it and we found that exercising the rotator alleviated the problem. Jon will be looking into the rotator bearing. There were no problems with the rotator during the night. *The DIS slit camera didn't want to expose, although I could at least talk to it. I checked the cable from the controller to the camera and found it was pinched in one spot. I gave it a little slack and was then able to take exposures. So the slit camera is working, but this cable may need to be replaced, as the outer insulation is cracked in several places.
