Charles Corson and I began obtaining a focus sequence for the Lens Monitoring. Earlier in the evening, there was a dramatic jump in humidity and dust particles, so this deterred us from obtaining a steady focus. During PU01, we had to change the focus three times. The seeing was between 1.8-2.7 arcsecs. We worked on 0957, and did the best we could given the conditions. Charles Hoopes and Nichole King were on site for the NM07 run. They obtained some dome flats and skyflats prior to the Lens Monitoring run. When they began their observing at 22:28, the elevation remap was lost, causing the axis to runaway. Charles decided to remap the elevation, and during this time, the telescope had to be closed due to the dust count being well over 1750microns. This condition persisted, and we noted large amounts of pollen in the air and on the cloud scanner. At approximately 00:30, the humidity became very high. It was well over closure conditions, so I did not open until 3:30. Alan Watson used GRIM for the NM06 run. The skies were murky, and the focus was terrible. At 3:50, we had best focus at -100 with seeing at 2.82 arcsecs, and at 5:00, best focus was at +100 with seeing at 1.2 arcsecs. Focus changed again at 5:20 to 0 with seeing at 1.0 arcsecs.
