Julie began under clear skies working on the WS02 program. The telescope began to show trailing in her first images. We had to close at 22:30 dust to extremely high dust counts. We reopened at 01:00. At this time, Julie saw some trailing again, so I reinitialized the telescope, and this fixed the problem. (Chris Stubbs mentioned a few reasons why this has happened, one being telescope oscillations) Julie used the rest of her time to obtain images using SPICAM. (Julie specified that at 04:07, a large offset in focus occurred between two short exposures) Mark Klaene and I spent the early evening testing the Remark slew command as compared to the TCC track command. Mark will continue with an attemp to rectify the communication problem. (At this time, we are not certain as to what exactly is occurring, so if you have any questions, please direct them to Mark. He informed me he intends to work on it today.)
