Opening was delayed by high winds. *The wind was pulling off a loose part of the primary mirror edge mask, so after consulting with Mark K. I fastened down the loose ends. This task was complete before the end of twilight, but it did impact the first observer who had planned to observe a standard star during twilight. *The telescope azimuth axis failed to stop at the end four slews. Each time I had to intervene to stop the telescope and prevent it from hitting the hard limits. The observers were Xiaohui Fan for PU01, Bill Oegerle for JH04, and Rhodri Evans for UC03. Xioahui used the PU01 time for spectroscopy of a lens candidate. Bill obtained spectra of seven of his targets. Rhodri took a long series of IR images of his target in Cepheus.
