Dan Long & I observed Venus during twilight to help Nancy Chanover prepare for her upcoming run. I sent her, via email, all the information on where the images are kept and what the names are. Dan discovered that the rotation does not change with Nancy's TRACK command, so a command needs to be given after issuing the TRACK command (if another position was entered prior to the TRACK command). This is what cause the 20 degree clockwise rotation yesterday. Gordon Richards gave up the Adler time, as he watched us gather the Venus images instead. I observed for the Lens Monitoring, 2237. No problems to speak of. Gene Magnier observed with DIS using the 2.0" steel slit. I had to cycle power to the GUIDER because it crashed. Comments:"Things went pretty smoothly, except for the early GUIDER problem. Successful spectroscopy." Chris Stubbs gave his time to be split between UW03 and UW16. Eric Deutsch and Bruce Margon observed with DIS using the 1.5" steel slit. Comments:"Other than light cirrus, everything absolutely perfect, excellent, excellent run." There is a winter storm watch in effect for Saturday and Sunday night!!!!!
