The sky was mostly clear, despite the impending snow storm, and remained so until 21:00 MST. The seeing was poor, probably due to the strong easterly wind. Gordon Richards was the observer for the Adler program. He took DIS images of Neptune. Some of his fits images were swamped by large negative pixel values. I haven't sorted out why this happened. I was the observer for PU01. I observed one gravitational lens field. The measured seeing was 2 arcsec. Rosie Wyse and Gerry Gilmore were the observers for JH01. They continued their program on cluster binaries. The seeing was quite bad by this time (3.6 arcsec in J), but we were pleasantly surprised that the sky was still clear. OBSERVER COMMENTS Rosie Wyse, Gerry Gilmore (JH01) - Thursday night (12/18) was perfect except for the focus drifting. Tonight the weather was garbage.
